Ordered the Tom Yum soup today via Door Dash and it was excellent! The soup was delicious and the sour vs sweet flavors were the perfect combo. The spice level was exactly as ordered, we ordered it hot... but they offer thai hot and lao hot for an added up charge of super spicy levels. We also ordered the sticky rice, which was as expected. Yum Yum Yummy . We will definitely be back soon!

I was craving Thai food and found this spot on Yelp. We've always drove by and never stopped. The place is a little dingy looking on the inside but the food is amazing here. A bit pricey in my opinion but all the dishes we ordered were delicious, amazing flavors. I wish the server would have asked us how hot we wanted our dishes because everything came out very mild. We had to add our own chili oil to our dishes. Hubby really loved the basil pork fried rice here ($17.95)! We had the following items: Chicken larb ($16.95) - very tangy and great lemony flavor. It has an addicting flavor for sure. The spring rolls ($13.95)- I loved the wrapper as it was a bit thicker than usual and tasted great with lettuce and vermicelli. The green papaya salad was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. Pad Ki Mao ($16.95) a little bit of oiliness for my taste but still amazing flavors. This spot may be our go to Thai spot.

Always drove by this place was never into Thai food but figured we try em... Located right across the street from pearl city Zippys across kam hwy....can watch the fail rail pass while eating and play "spot the passenger" lol A nice clean and comfortable setting....your typical asian tables and chair...Airconditioned and got inhouse bathrooms... (Real important when dining with Mom and Pops) The menu consisted of all kine Thai food ?I not familiar so dont know) Anyways...we ordered tofu larb..summer rolls..beef pad thai....and beef mushroom with oyster sauce and all was really tasty.... The restaurant was pretty busy throughout our dining and seemed like a pretty popular place... I was pleasantly surprised with the food.. The staff was cool and did their job well....My folks definetely liked it and we will certainly be back...

After trying many different thai spots, Thai Lao is hands down my favorite thai restaurant on the island. Other thai spots lack flavor in their food, but thai lao hits the spot every time. My boyfriend & I used to come to thai lao or take out at least once a month. Since they closed their Kapiolani location, we don't get to have it as often, but the pearl city location is just as good & hits every time. Our favorites consist of the pad see ew & the green curry. Both are flavorful & goes so well with their chili oil. Service wise, the workers are always nice. Sometimes it can be hard to reach them on the phone, however I usually just keep calling till they pick up. Ambiance wise, the restaurant itself has that typical thai restaurant vibe with thai art pieces. It's pretty small and can get crowded on weekends so make sure to go early so you can get a spot.

Honestly, they have the best papaya salad that I've had so far from a restaurant. I normally buy mine from the thai temple or just make it myself. Lao style and Lao hot (if you like it spicyyyyyy) is the best! If it's not spicy enough to make me cry, I don't want it lol We ended up getting Lao style pho (in the description on the menu it said it came with tomatoes although we didn't receive any) it was good just not very deeply flavoured, but unless you want to go through the tedious task of making your own pho we had no complaints. It was perfect for today's rainy weather. The portion size is very good and I feel like it's enough to share with someone if you both order another dish to share. Spring rolls were great! Nuoc mam sauce for it is always a hit. Chicken satay was pretty yummy as well. Thai iced tea, I felt was a bit pricey ($6.50 per tea) but it was still great. We also ordered Thai style pork chops w/ rice (no picture). The pork chops were very thin, good, but thin. Not really worth the price in all honesty about ($20). I do love the fresh veggies that come with every order. Overall, Thai Lao is better than most Thai restaurants I've had here. The customer service is average, no complaints on my end. The restaurant was clean and very well taken care of. It's worth stopping by to try if you're ever in the area.
